Privacy
CV Snapshot is a service of Next Wave Capital Ventures. This page explains what I collect and what I do with it.
What I collect
Your name, email address, the CV you upload, the domain you request, and payment confirmation from Stripe. I never see or store your card number.
How I use it
Only to build, publish and maintain your resume website, and to contact you about it.
How your CV is received
After purchase, I email you a private, upload-only link protected by a password and an expiration date. Only I can see what you upload.
What gets published
Only what you approve in your preview. Home address and personal phone number are left off by default.
Retention
Your uploaded CV file is deleted 30 days after your site goes live. Published site content remains while your site is active and is removed when you cancel.
Sharing
I never sell your information. It is shared only with the services needed to run your site: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (domain and hosting), GitHub (site source, private) and Brevo (delivering messages sent through the contact form).
Your domain
Your domain is registered with you as the owner. While you're a client, I manage it for you through Cloudflare Registrar. You can move it to another registrar at any time, including after you cancel.
How a transfer works:
- Choose your new registrar (for example Namecheap, Porkbun or Squarespace Domains) and create an account there.
- Ask me for a transfer. I'll unlock the domain and send you its authorization code (also called an EPP or auth code). Keep it private; it works like a password for the domain.
- Start the transfer at your new registrar by entering the domain name and the authorization code. The new registrar charges a transfer fee, which you pay directly to them. It usually adds one year to your registration.
- Approve the confirmation email sent to the domain owner's address, which is yours.
- Wait for completion. Most transfers finish within five to seven days.
Good to know: registrars generally don't allow a transfer within 60 days of registering or last transferring a domain. If your CV Snapshot plan has ended, your site is already offline; if it's still active, your site stays up only while the domain's DNS keeps pointing to CV Snapshot hosting, so tell me your plans and I'll help you time the move.
